Never Lose SightThis is a poem that I wrote myself. I hope you like it! Faster, faster, faster. I just can't seem to run fast enough. Looking behind me, I see him catching up. I stumble and fall on my face. Before I can get up, he has caught up with me. He offers his hand, but I choose to get up on my own. He stares at me with his bright eyes. I want to look away, but I cannot. "There is no need to fear me." Not once did he open his mouth. He extends his hand, and this time, I take it. An astounding connection went between us when I took his hand. It was as though I had known him all my life. "Fix your eyes on the sunset and the sunrise, for they will guide and lead you to the place I have given you. Don't lose sight, my child. I pray that you never lose sight. Last week, I was doing my morning walk, and I happened to look out across Lake Michigan. The sky was all different shades of pink. It was so beautiful. When I see things so beautiful it looks as though an artist painted it, I know that artist is God. relationshipsRelationships- of all kinds- are like sand held in your hand. Held loosely, with an open hand, the sand remains where it is. The minute you close your hand and squeeze tightly to hold on, the sand tickles through your fingers. You may hold on to some of it, but most will be spilled. A relationship is like that. Held loosely, with respect and freedom for the other person, it is likely to remain intact. But hold too tightly, too possessively, and the relationship slips away and is lost LifeLife is too short My FamilyKayla Daniel Kyle Cassandra Stacie Darius Danyonne Nickolas Natasha Destiny Aleysha Ashley Chloe (dog) Kathy (mom)
